Top Apps For Your Iphone Camera

Your iPhone4 may take great pictures on its own, but there are plenty of apps in Apple's App Store that can add cool effects to pictures, while others allow you to snap, add effects and share straight from the app.

CameraBag:

If you're a filter junkie, don't pass up CameraBag, an app with a collection of 15 filters you can use to create different snapshots. You can also turn off cropping and borders in the options. We recommend turning off cropping, as the filters tend to crop into your images, leaving you to guess where to aim when shooting.

Typogr.am:

Typogr.am is a simple app that allows you to easily snap a pic, add a caption, apply some filters before sharing it on Facebook, Twitter or Tumblr. It's about as fuss free as you can expect an app to be. You can also shake your phone to randomize the settings.

Instagram:

This popular picture service allows you to easily take a picture, add filters and share it on Facebook, twitter, Flickr and other social media sites. You can also browse pictures uploaded by your friends and popular pictures from other users.

Color:

Color is a socially-aware app that allows you to take pictures that seem to magically float around where you are. If anyone snaps a picture near your location, those images start showing up in your app, though you are free to block the person if you don't want to see their pictures.

HTC Windows Phone

the HTC Radar is a more perfect blend of looks and functions.adopts a rounded look with a clever mix of white, non-glossy plastic on a predominantly aluminum chassis.the white plastic at the back gives it a rich feel.The clear demarcation of both volume and power buttons makes it easy to adjust the Radar's volume and put it to sleep. As the battery is non-removable, the SIM card slot is hiding behind the small removable panel at the bottom.The homescreen is divided into two, the first comprising big, colourful tiles. Hitting the arrow key pointing towards the right unveils the main menu.Microsoft's Mango update powers the Radar, and like all Windows Phone devices, the Radar won't see much customization from HTC, leaving the Windows Phone experience pretty much as how Microsoft intends., here a Windows Live ID is a must, specially for downloading applications from the Windows Marketplace. New to the Radar is HTC Watch, a movie rental and purchasing service that was shown during Mobile World Congress 2011.. Adding to the list is HTC Locations, which is essentially a retooled map app that utilizes Microsoft's Bing Maps.

Working in tandem with Mango is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1GHz processor with 512MB of RAM. HTC Radar scores full marks on the multimedia front as well. The sound output is nice and videos looked crisp. It also has a 5 MP camera that captures good images.it has 8 GB inbuilt memory, of which only 6.54 is available for use, and it doesn't support expandable memory.If you're a heavy user, whether watching videos or constantly online (the Radar supports HSDPA speeds of up to 14.4Mbps), the 1520mAh battery lasted almost a full day.

Nokia X5-01_celular x5 nokia

Nokia_X5_01
There were a number of very good music phones launched during the year, including the Apple iPhone 4, Nokia X5 and the Sony Ericsson W8. But what impressed us about the Nokia x5 was its simplicity and the outstanding sound. The X5 has a dedicated music key placed below the display. It has a Playlist DJ for profiling songs as per the user's mood and a 'Spin' feature for changing tracks randomly. The 950 mAh battery was good enough to take you through a day of great music playback, whether over the speakers or headphones.

Tech Specs:

2.36-INCH NON-TOUCH DISPLAY; 5 MP CAMERA; 200 MB INTERNAL MEMORY, 2 GB MEMORY CARD; MEMORY EXPANDABLE TO 32 GB; FM RADIO, MUSIC PLAYER. 36, WI-FI; 129 GM.

Samsung Guru Dual 35

Usually the cheapest phones come from Indian handset producers. But this dual SIM device from Samsung pips all of them in terms of value for money. It has the best quality, utility and design. Even though it isn't the true dual SIM phone as the network of the second connection goes off air when accessing a call on the first, Samsung has still managed to put up a great show. The company got rid of the two calling keys by adding a dedicated SIM switching key. There is also the freedom of having a personalised sound setting for both connections individually.

Tech Specs:
2-INCH DISPLAY; VGA CAMERA; WIRELESS FM RADIO; MUSIC PLAYER; EXPANDABLE MEMORY UP TO 2 GB; BLUETOOTH; 1000 mAh BATTERY.

Samsung Omnia W

Samsung_Omnia_W_Price
SAMSUNG OMNIA W

The name Omnia from Samsung's stable sound familiar? Yes, a couple of years ago, it belonged to the Korean company's Windows Mobile devices. With the launch of Windows Phone Mango, Samsung is back with the Omnia W.

The Omnia W is the only competition to the HTC Radar at the moment. It packs in a faster single core processor clocked at 1.4 GHz. The other specs-512 MB RAM, 8GB memory, 5 MP camera, 720p video capture and connectivity options--remain same. The only disadvantage that the Omnia W suffers is the 3.7-inch capacitive display compared with the bigger 3.8 incher on the Radar. But then the Omnia clearly outdoes the Radar on the price front.

The Samsung Omnia W is made of plastic, so there isn't anything impressive about its looks. The 3.7-inch display looked small in front of the Radar. Thankfully, it didn't hamper the typing or the navigation experience. Along with the Windows Live account, we managed to configure our Gmail, Yahoo!, Outlook, Twitter and Facebook with ease. It also has the WP feature of integration of Facebook and Twitter in the contacts (people hub). We were able to comment on our friends' updates from that location. Giving value to the customer, the Omnia W packs in a few apps. These include FunShot, All Share, Mini Diary, Now and a wireless manger.
The images captured by the 5 MP camera were above average and could be edited quickly using auto-fix.

Tech Specs:
3.7-inch capadfive display;

Nokia 700 701

Nokia_701
Nokia lovers who have never experienced any other OS will love this device. Like the C-7, the 701 too has a metal body with curved edges and a 3.5-inch capacitive display. The interface has undergone a change as it now allows us to add different sized icons to the home-screen. And all the applications are placed in the main menu, instead of in an application folder. Unlike older Nokia phones, this one has a 1 GHz processor that speeds up the time the device needs to handle demands like multitasking, browsing, email, downloading apps, etc. With most other phones increasing the megapixel count, the Nokia 701 too has an 8 MP camera. But in default mode, images are captured at 6 MP resolution. This phone is NFC-enabled and allows users to exchange data between two NFC-enabled devices.

Tech Specs:
3.5-inch display;

8MP camera;

8 GB memory, expandable to 32 GB;

3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth;

131 gm; 1300 m Ah battery.

S8600 wave 3

samsung_wave_3
The Wave 3, with the Bada OS, is a typical Samsung device: it boasts a 4-inch bright capacitive touch display with just a single physical key below the screen.Unlocking the homescreen makes it look similar to Android smartphones. Long pressing the icon in the main menu allows users to drag them in any of the home-screen windows. A notification bar can be dragged from the top-it shows settings such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Sound and Vibration and auto rotation and also notifies pending calls and messages. Emails, social hubs, Chat on, Google, Voice Cmd, Caster, desk clock, Orkut, are a few apps that are preinstalled on this phone and more can be downloaded from the Samsung App Store. But even now, Bada doesn't have a wide range of apps. The Polaris Office lets one open documents and edit them as well. It has a music player and video player on board, but the sound is just about average. The 5 MP camera captured decent images. On a positive note, Samsung has added a 1.4 GHz processor that makes it operate quickly.

Tech Specs:
4-inch display;

Bada OS, 5 MP camera;

4 GB memory, expandable to 32 GB;

3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth;

A-GPS;

122gm;1500mAh battery

Iball Mobiles

iBall
The new dual SIM phone from iBall apparently comes with a battery with a very long life. No wonder, because it has a 2300 mAh battery that could give you over 18 hours of talkime and 40 hours of music playback from a single charge. The phone features a 2.6-inch display, along with a 2 MP primary camera and 0.3 MP secondary camera. Video player, musk player, wireless FM radio, FM recording, LED torch, ebook reader, etc. are other features.

LG optimus net review

Like the Optimus One, an affordable Android offering, LG is about to launch the Optimus Net in the country. Featuring a 3.2-inch capacitive display, it will have an 800 MHz processor in combination with 512MB RAM. Android Gingerbread will be the OS on board. LG has also included a 3.15 MP camera, 150 MB onboard storage, A-GPS and 1500 mAh battery.

Tech Specs:

3.2-inch capacitive-display;

3.2 MP camera;

150 MB internal storage, expandable;

1500 mAh battery.

Lumia 710 Review

Announced barely a month ago at Nokia World in London, Nokia's first Windows Phone device will be in India now. Of the two WP sets launched, the Lumia 710 has a 3.7-inch capacitive Gorilla glass display and 1.4GHz processor along with 512 MB RAM. It will also feature a 5 MP camera, video recording at 720P at 30 frames per second and an 8GB internal memory storage. Available in plenty of colours, the phone will also have a photo editor and digital compass.

Sony Ericsson Xperia arc_sony ericson xpera arc

The Sony Ericsson Xperia arc comes as one of the latest additions to an increasingly crowded Android space, but with a fairly unique preposition: A huge 4,2-inch Reality Display touchscreen with Sony's Mobile BRAVIA Engine technology.

The first thing that strikes you about the arc Is how thin it is, at just 8.7mm thick it is almost half the thickness of most phones available today. If you look carefully at the back of the phone, you will also notice that the arc stands out from the others because of its curved profile.

while we were fans of the simple and clean design, we felt that more work could have been done to improve the tiny power button, which took a bit of effort to press. On the other hand, the camera shutter button was a welcome addition in an age where most smartphone makers somehow decided to stop including dedicated camera buttons on their devices. This at least makes snapping pictures so much easier than having to tap on the screen.Overall, the handling experience was positive, as the arc balances beautifully in the hand. If anything, the arc feels a little too light, and depending on how you hold it, can feel flimsy and fragile.

The arc comes powered by Android, specifically version 2,3 (a.k.a. Gingerbread), Timescape reappears on the arc and can be easily added on the home screen as a widget. Combine Timescape together with a photo/video widget, and you get easy access to social networking updates and multimedia files.

The main draw of the arc is its 4.2-inch TFT-LCD screen with Sony's Mobile BRAVIA Engine image processing technology,which aims to enhance video  playback. The result is beautiful visuals when playing videos and games on the device as well as  while navigating through the smartphone's stylish interface.

The multimedia showmanship doesn't stop there as its snappy  8,1-megapixel camera produces clear and sharp photos with accurate blacks and colors,Because of its f/2.4 lens, visible details in night shots are also easier to capture without having  to flush them out with the available LED flash,Sony Ericsson's arc is good-looking, functional and primed for success. If the profile. 4.2-Inch awesome display doesn't bowl you over for some reason, its impossibly slim build will. Of course,this smartphone isn't perfect - minor flaws like impractical buttons and average battery  performance take the overall score down a few notches, but the gorgeous widescreen display and capable camera are two of its biggest advantages, While It comes with a relatively standard 1GHz processor, you do get an extremely responsive device with more than enough horsepower for fluid multi- tasking. All in all, the Xperia arc  is a highly functional phone that balances both productivity and multimedia prowess

Motorola Charm Android

Motorola tried to be innovative with the BackFlip and FlipOut in the past. And now with its latest Android phone, the Charm, the company has chosen to go the way of BlackBerry looks. The Charm comes across as a great combination of a touchscreen and a QWERTY keypad. Irrespective of the smooth physical keyboard, one can easily type the on-screen keypad. Running the Android v2.1, the device comes with a customisable user interface MotoBlur that divides the homescreen into multiple panes. Configuring a Gmail account simply requires the user name and the password but for Outlook accounts manual settings would be needed. QuickOffice viewer, mySpace, Facebook, are few apps that the handset comes pre-installed with. A high resolution screen (above 320 x 240) would have made the phone ideal for multimedia viewing.

Tech Specs:
2.8-inch capacitive touch display;

3.15 MP camera;

EDGE, 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi;

512 MB RAM, expandable up to 32GB;

Samsung Wave 533

samsung_wave_533
Wave 533 a physical keyboard QWERTY  hides behind the capacitive display. The well-spaced rectangular keys are done in white and yellow and they look a bit odd.

The 3.2 capacitive touchscreen has the lowly 240x400 pixels of resolution, which makes everything on the display look jagged. The viewing angles are decent, though, and it has average sunlight visibility on full brightness.

The back is flat, with a 3MP camera centered in its upper part, and the speaker grill down right. The usual piano black plastic Samsung is using in most of its handsets of late, is replaced for a battery cover with dotted pattern, which makes the phone easier to grip and hold.For connectivity it has Wi-Fi which makes accessing web browser and other social networking sites a breeze.

THE BEST GPS DEVICES

MIO NAVMAN575

The Navman575 has a large screen, but no live services and no local search –an unwise omission when some

cheaper models include it.You do get free traffic alerts, safety caminfo and quick re-routing, though.
Pre-loaded European maps look mighty fine on the 4.7-inch, 480x272- pixel screen and a simple, colourful menu allows for easy navigation in every sense.The Mio learns your driving style over time and changes routes accordingly, and though it lacks the extra features of the more expensive models on test, it is a respectable budget option.

TOMTOM GO LIVE 1000
The 1000 is a polished satnav with one of the most responsive screens on test –all 4.3 inches of it.As you’d expect at this price the mapping is speedy and accurate.TomTom throws in speed camera info and its LIVE services, including HDTraffic –which offers often very accurate traffic updates, time delay estimates and alternate routes –Google Local Search and the ability to filemap corrections on the device.The first year’s LIVE services are free and cost £47.50 thereafter. TomTom’s IQ Routes has a tendency to go for the more scenic option, but this is still the best all-round satnav here.

NAVIGON 40 PREMIUM LIVE
Navigon’s live services include Google Local Search, real-time traffic updates, safety cam info and Clever Parking,which finds you a space in packed multi-storeys. You also get weather and European map updates

via a rather ugly external module. The first 15 months is free and it’s £40 a year from then.

The Premium Live is feature-packed but the user interface is tricky, with small buttons that are lost on the 4.3-inch screen and sluggish zoom controls.The GPS routing is very good however, with lane assistance making negotiating nasty junctions a breeze.

GARMIN NÜ VI 3790T

Thinner than an iPhone 4, the Nü vi 3790T is unobtrusive and easily stowed in a pocket with a bright and responsive 4.3-inch, 800x400-pixel screen.You get a lifetime of freeTMC traffic updates via an external receiver but no live services –a rather notable omission given the Nü vi’s price tag. The 3790T provides reliably accurate mapping,while the Photo-Real function displays junctions as you see them, making it easier tospot your turning. In short: stylish and capable but expensive and lacking features.

VEXIA 480

Vexia aims to save you money on your fuel bill. Select your vehicle from the 11,000 that Vexia recognises and the 480 will track how efficient your driving is –whether you brake too much or pull too many doughnuts. It’s a worthy aim, but the 4.3-inch, 480x372- pixel screen lacks clarity and maps are sometimes difficult to follow due to all the helpful ecothemed hints cluttering the display. There are no traffic jam-busting features or Bluetooth either. If you drive long distances regularly, the Econav could save you money, but is it worth it?

htc android 2.3

et ready for the glasses-free-3D avalanche. Fresh off the success of Nintendo's 3DS game system, countless companies are hustling to market with their own takes on the tech. One we're actually excited about: the HTCEvo 3D Phone (price not set), which features a 4.3-inch glasses-free 3D display. And while it won't have the 3DS's preloaded stash of 3D games, the Android-powered device does feature a pair of 5-megapixel cameras for shooting 3D photos and HD video.

If you live online, the EVO offers a big, beautiful, and powerful window to the world. The first WiMAX phone in the U.S. is a terrific platform for streaming media and Web browsing, and it gets your laptop online with Sprint's 4G network.

Asus’ Eee Pad Transformer

 Asus’ Eee Pad Transformer TF101 is unique because it is the only device here to ship with a docking station as standard. Asus says the dock allows you to ‘transform’ the tablet into a fully-fledged netbook. We’re pleased to reportthat with the tablet dockedthe Transformer becomes a

useable netbook. The dock’skeyboard is great to use andrather than just using a QWERTY keyboard, Asus has replaced the function keys with hotkeys that enable you to scoot around

Honeycomb with ease. The dock includes an additional battery too so you can extend the tablet's

battery life to a total of 16 hours. In testing we found the Asus, when docked,gave a battery life of 14hours. This figure dropped to a still very strong eight and a half hours when we used the tablet on its own.Our only issue with the dock is that the trackpad and its buttons can be a little frustrating to use.Tracking isn’t always spot on and you have to click on either the extreme left or right side of the single trackpad button to generate a left or right click.

The Asus is one of the better looking tablets in this test and we absolutely adored the screen. It simply refused to retain fingerprints or smudges and generated the best visuals here by far. As a result the Transformer was able to deliver the best overall user experience in this round-up.

It's definitely a viable alternative to the iPad 2.

Galaxy Nexus Prime S

Samsung-Galaxy-Nexus
The open source code for Android's next big iteration, dubbed lce Cream Sandwich, has been released into the wild and we should be seeing a slate of products running the system before the end of the year.

The Ice Cream Sandwich system is said to be Google's answer to Android's divergence problem, uniting the various different form factors under a set of standard features acoss all smartphones and tablets.

Some of the system's new features include advanced facial recognition, better data monitoring, integrated social networking platforms, imaging enhancements and additional near field communication applications.

Google has partnered with Samsung to launch the first official handset to run Android 4.0, the Galaxy Nexus, which features a 4.65-inch 1280x720-pixel resolution super AMOLD Plus display.

In addition to the new Android system and top-notch screen the Nexus will also feature a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 5-megapixel camera and will come in HSPA+ and LTE models.

It looks as though the first Ice Cream Sandwich-running slate might also be just as close as the Nexus, with Lenovo rumoured to be readying a 10.1-inch slate running version 4.0 and a newTegra 3 chip before the year's end.

HTC mobile specifications SENSATION XE

HTC-Sensation-XL
The Sensation XL takes the company's previous flagship and makes it even more decadent, while the Explorer debuts at entry-level to be HTCs most affordable smartphone to date.

Released earlier th s year, the Sensation impressed with its wide 4.3-inch 'Super'display; the Sensation XL bumps that figure upto a whopping 4.7-inches, though the resolution drops from 960x540 to WVGA 800x480.

The impressive screen is backed by an emphasis on acoustic performance as one of the first mobile devices to feature Beats Audio integration, along with an 8-megapixel camera, making the XL a fairy impressive portable multimedia option.

It has the grunt to run all that heavy entertainment thanks to a 1.5GHz processor and Android 2.3.5 with HTCs refined Sense overlay.

The Explorer, on the other hand, has been designed to coax the smartphone holdouts to the party with a 3.2-inch HVGA touch screen, 3-megapixel camera and the same versions of Android and Sense as the high-end XL.

HTC Tattoo_htc tatoo

htc_tatooThe HTC Tattoo is particularly interesting as it‚the first Android device aimed at the trendy mid-range youth market.It also includes the full implementation of HTC‚Sense Experience, exactly as it appears on the HTC Hero,which is incredibly user-friendly with seven customisable home-screens and excellent social networking integration. Hardware,Beyond running on a superb OS, the Tattoo offers all the latest connectivity options; Quad Band GSM, 3G HSDPA,Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g and Bluetooth 2.0. It‚powered by the same 528 MHzQualcomm processor as HTC‚three other Androids. Also on offer is a 3.5 mm jack, an accelerometer, a 3.2 megapixel camera and GPS support with A-GPS.

The Tattoo is the first Android device to feature a resistive touch-screen, basically being activated via pressure.The touch experience is consequently a little frustrating,especially when typing via the onscreen QWERTY in portrait mode. The device‚smallish 2.8" screen and average native resolution of 240 x 320 don‚Äôt help things either.
