Motorola Backflip Android

All Android phones available in the market look the same. Most of them are touch-driven devices with a few also sporting a slide-out keypad. But here comes an innovative and interesting phone from Motorola's stable— the BackFlip .
Living up to its name, the Backflip has the touch display on the top and the QWERTY keypad at the bottom. This is what differentiates it from the regular flips in which the main display and keyboard are hidden inside. Right opposite the display is the 'Backtrack'. Replicating the work of a trackpad or a joystick, it is designed to be used with the index finger that is rendered useless when one is using the QWERTY keypad. Using the 'Backtrack', one can navigate up, down, left and right. Interestingly, it can even be used for opening an application with a double tap. However, we found that accessing the 'Backtrack' along with the physical keypad wasn't as easy as we imagined. The 'search' key that is usually found below the display has been moved to the left corner of the QWERTY keypad that can be accessed only when the flip lid is open. When held like a bar, the keypad automatically gets locked, making it easy to use.

The innovation in design helped this flip device score full marks in the looks as well as innovation and utility departments. It was the ancient version of the Android operating system (v1.5) that disappointed. Still, it managed to handle emails, updates on social networking sites, web search and downloading third party application with ease.

Motorola Flipout Opinie

Motorola has launched a new stylish Android handset. FlipOut, a square-shaped handset, has a swivel design. It slides out and reveals a QWERTY keypad with dedicated mjsic keys. The 2.8-inch touch display supports multi-touch and has a second microphone which improves call quality. Other feature this 3G-enabled device has includes built-in A-GPS, 3 MP camera and Adobe Flash Lite support for enhanced web browsing experience.it is no doubt Flipout has to go through a bigger test of its time when the market is full of smartphones.

To start with Motorola is offering a better than ever operating system with the phone by integrating Google Android Operating System 2.1 version which is said to be one of the most powerful mobile phone platform. The Motorola Flipout has a similar design as Nokia Twist -square in shape - but it is slightly smaller than the twist.

However, the main advantage with Motorola Flipout is its Android 2.1v platform on which the device runs its application that is faster, smarter and better than any other OS. The device is fully touchscreen and comes with QWERTY keypad for easy typing which the user can see by twisting the phone. It has a dimension of 67 x 67 x 17 mm and weighs just 120 gm.

Motorola Charm Android

Motorola tried to be innovative with the BackFlip and FlipOut in the past. And now with its latest Android phone, the Charm, the company has chosen to go the way of BlackBerry looks. The Charm comes across as a great combination of a touchscreen and a QWERTY keypad. Irrespective of the smooth physical keyboard, one can easily type the on-screen keypad. Running the Android v2.1, the device comes with a customisable user interface MotoBlur that divides the homescreen into multiple panes. Configuring a Gmail account simply requires the user name and the password but for Outlook accounts manual settings would be needed. QuickOffice viewer, mySpace, Facebook, are few apps that the handset comes pre-installed with. A high resolution screen (above 320 x 240) would have made the phone ideal for multimedia viewing.

Motorola Defy

The Motorola Defy is a very well-built Android 2.1 Eclair handset that, like the iPhone, A lovely screen and rugged design go hand in hand with a very reasonable price, but isn't of the battery-draining, super-bright AmoLED type seen on the Nexus S.

Motorola's latest model has a lovely 3.7in, 480 x 854 capacitive screen - that's a higher resolution than the giant HTC Desire HD - and a lot more besides. If the screen doesn't catch your eye, the unusual design certainly will. With its exposed screw heads and grippy plastic chassis, The Defy is water-, dust- and scratch-resistant. a rubber-sealed battery compartment and impact- and scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass on the front.

Motorola adds its MotoBlur social-media interface - a feature not everyone will appreciate. To set up MotoBlur you create a dedicated account that will become your one-stop login for Facebook, Last.fm, Twitter, MySpace, grouping together contacts and contact images, updates, feeds and more. It lets you post to many services simultaneously, and the resizable Motoblur widgets for the Android desktop are as slick as anything you'll see on an HTC handset.

One useful feature you can enable is the Data Saver. This automatically queues photos for upload for when a fast web connection is available, and prevents photos and video embedded in web pages from downloading where coverage is an issue.

Aside from that, the Defy has a decent 5-megapixel camera with an LED flash, It has good battery life, with an admirable 60% left on the meter after 24 hours of testing.

THE MOTOROLA DROID X2

has a dual-core THE DROID X2’s qHD screen is vivid and crisp, even at an angle.Nvidia Tegra 2 processor and a beautiful qHD display.Since it’s a 3G phone. The X2 runs Android 2.2 with the Motoblur interface.Verizon says the phone will be upgraded to Android 2.3(Gingerbread).

The 8-megapixel camera took good photos. In outdoor shots, colors were bright and natural, but details weren’t sharp.Video capture was dismal, especially on fast action.Games ran smoothly, and YouTube  videos looked great played in HQ (High Quality)mode. Web pages loaded quickly for me over 3G, and even faster on Wi-Fi. Flash 10 videos played superbly, too.If you lack 4G in your area,or if you don’t want to pay a premium for 4G, you’ll be happy with the Droid X2.

Motorola XT800

The XT800 also froze up a couple of times, especially when we had had an app open and locked the screen with the function still running in the background. The handset that we reviewed came with a 2GB add-on memory card and the external memory on the XT800 is expandable up to 32GB.

The handset supports charging via the USB, rendering the SD card inaccessible when you are charging the handsetvia USB. The battery lasted us for more than a day on a full charge with intermittent use of GPRS (browsing, downloading apps etc) and more than a handful of voice

calls and SMSes. This is commendable considering most smartphones barely last a working day and they are not even working on a dual-SIM mode.

MOTOROLA ATRIX review

After blowing us away at CES, the Motorola Atrix gained the coveted top spot.First and foremost it's a powerful, dualcore smartphone. Add a series of docks, however.and it becomes a multimedia hub, or even a 11.6-inch laptop,You can also "transform" it into an alarm clock, but maybe that's not quite so cooL
Solid and well built, the Atrix runs Android 2,2 (Froyo) and exudes a restrained air of competence and power, a bit like a top-class bodyguard, It dresses all in black like one, too. The four-inch, 960x540 touchscreen is responsive, bright, with bold colours, There's less fine detail than on the iPhone 4, but the slightly larger size and very pure whites do go some way towards making up for that.
The dualcore processor means it never feels slow, You can quickly swap between open browser windows, maps, games and video playback without it batting an eyelid, At the moment there aren't rnany garnes or apps that make the most of the extra processing oomph, but that should change.
Another plus is Motorola's Motoblur, which adds very neat integration with your social networks, as well as some handy apps,
Doch the Atrix in the Lapdockor HDMI-connected Multimedia Dock, select the Webtop mode and things get seriously next-gen. On the bigger screen, app shortcuts are arranged along the bottom. You can also add bookmarks or web apps; settings are accessed in the top corner.
lf you prefer something more familiar, Mobile View displays a rnini version ofthe Atrix's home screen, There, you can click any app as normal and use phone features including calls - a pop-up box indicates an mcoming call and you get decent call quality through the mic.
