Windows_Taskbar_shortcuts

Press Shift and click the icon to open the program in a new window. You can click the middle button on the mouse to do this, too. Try it with Explorer or Internet Explorer. If you have several programs open that have Taskbar icons, hold down the Windows key and press T to cycle though thumbnail images of each one.Right-click an icon in the Taskbar to shows the Jump List menu, or hold down the Shift key and right-click for a window menu. Microsoft Silverlight Update

Microsoft has released version 5 of Silverlight (downloads), its browser plug-in for viewing video, games and animations in websites. It could be Microsoft's last version of Silverlight because websites are

increasingly adopting the HTML5 standard, which lets you see videos in browsers without having to use plug-ins. Silverlight is a rival technology to Adobe's Flash, but is only used by around 0.3 per cent of websites, whereas Flash is used in 27 per cent.

Paint.Net Plugins Download

Originally designed as a simple replacement for Windows Paint, the former student project Paint.NET has since grown into one of the best and most powerful free photo-editing programs around. It offers most of the features you'd expect to see in paid-for software, including layers, levels and curves, and a wealth of effects and filters. Best of all, the program also supports plugins, so if you can't find a particular feature or effect, you may be able to simply download it. There are hundreds of free plugins available to download from http://forums.getpaint.net.and we've hand-picked a few of our favourites here.
Although some plugin packs come with built-in installers, most plugins require you to add them manually. Just browse to C:\Program Files\Paint.NET and copy the plugin's .DLL file to the Effects folder. You'll need to restart Paint.NET before you can access the new features. If you decide you don't like a plugin or it crashes, you can simply delete it from the folder and restart the software.

Paint_Net

About Paint.NET and plugins:

Paint.NET is available to download from getpaint It requires Microsoft's .NET Framework 3.5 SP1, but this will be automatically installed if you don't have it. To save you trawling through the forums, you can download a regularly updated PDF list of all available plugins from getpaint.net

Spider Computer Concept

Spider Computer Concept

The designer Nikolaus Frank introduced the concept of Spider Computer, which is very similar to the spider, which is reflected in the title. It consists of a concept phone and computer. From the top of the “spider” on any flat surface of the projected laser keyboard and a screen that allows you to work on the full computer. When folded, the device becomes a mobile phone with all his characteristic attributes. Very original and unusual design.

Sony Ericsson Arc S Specs

sony_ericsson_xperia_arc_s
Sony Ericsson's Xperia Arc was one stylish feature-packed phone. The Xperia Arc S is its beautiful successor. But will it manage to hold its own against the excellent devices in town? The design of the original Arc was well appreciated by the market and Sony Ericsson was prudent enough to retain the same curves and lines. The metal bezel running around the corners has controls and jack, making it stand out against a body colour like black. The 4.2-inch capacitive display in a sleek casing was comfortable to use and to slide into the pocket.
So, what's the difference between the Arc and the Arc S? The company has pumped up the processor power from 1 GHz to 1.4 GHz.

Browsing the web is a great experience on the Xperia Arc S, thanks to 14.4 megabytes per second data download speeds in 3G covered areas. This is twice as fast as the original Xperia Arc, and of course it also has the option to use Wi-Fi for browsing the web whenever users have access to local wireless networks. The new version also outdoes the original in term of its available onboard storage, with 1 GB included as standard along with the added bonus of a microSD card (8GB) supplied with the handset, although this can be replaced with a memory card of upto 32 GB.

As a result, there is a notable difference in the speed of operations. The camera shutter lag has decreased and photography gains. Even switching between the apps or browsing through the images is relatively quick. Once again, the 8 MP camera manages to do a great job and videos can be captured at 720p resolution at 30fps. But, the Arc S feels slow in comparison with phones powered by dual-core processors. Battery backup, at 1500 mAh, manages to last a day on above average use.

TECH SPECS:
4.2-inch display; 8 MPcamera; Android v2.3; l.4GHz processor; 1GB RAM, expandable to 32GB; Bluetooth, 3G, Wi-Fi, A-GPS; 117 gm; 1500 mAh battery.

Lg P970 Optimus Black

LG_Optimus_Black_P970
The focus of Android is now shifting from just utility to looks. Riding on the success of the Optimus and the well-applauded Optimus 2x, LG is now following the trend by introducing the Optimus Black. Not a part of the Black Label series known for having some of the best looking phones, the Black, nevertheless, manages to score in the looks department. It is a complete touch device with a solid build but feels like a smooth piece of plastic. However, LG is busy boasting about the 4-inch Nova display as the brightest display ever in a smart-phone. In our opinion, the phone has a bright display but it isn't something that needs to be tom-tommed. Indeed, when on full brightness, the phone even worked as a flash light.
Operating on Android v2.2 when all the latest devices are on v2.3 is a letdown. It did allowed us to configure Gmail account, Gtalk, search the web, watch videos, download apps, stay connected to social world but the overall performance was a bit slow. Even while searching the phonebook, the contacts appeared only when we finished typing out the full name. The 5 MP camera onboard managed to capture decent images but there was a huge shutter lag.
And the battery hardly managed to last a day with average use.

TECH SPECS:
Android 2.2; 4-inch display; 5 MP camera;

2GB internal, 512 MB RAM, 32 GB expandable; EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G; 109 gm; 1500 mAh battery

Galaxy S vs Galaxy S ii

samsung_galaxy_s2
Right off the bat, the Galaxy S ll's resemblance to its predecessor, the Galaxy S, in terms of design, is obvious. There are some differences though; the S ll ditches the chrome bezel in favor of plastic, with ports and buttons shifted around. The ultra-sleek (at 8.49mm, it is the thinnest of the four) smartphone sports an extremely slim bezel and a clean design that draws attention to its huge 4.27-inch Super AMOLED Plus screen. The build is still predominantly plastic, just like the original Galaxy S, but this ultimately gives it an edge — the phone's weight is kept to a minimum at just 116 grams, the lightest of the bunch. Generally, the buttons are on the small side but they exhibit good tactile feedback. We also liked how its textured back adds a better grip to the device.

NVIDIA 3D Vision Surround

NVIDIA 3D Vision has been around for while, and most gamers are now used to the fact that 3D is here to stay. 3D Vision Surround on the other hand, is a new feature that offers stereoscopic 3D gaming across three Full HD monitors. Think a total resolution of 5760x1080 in 3D! However, do note that an SLI setup is required as a single NVIDIA card today can only drive up to two displays simultaneously.

Although NVIDIA has made 3D Vision surround available for older cards via a driver upgrade, the improved performance of the newer Fermi cards (GeForce GTX 480 and above) makes them more suitable for 3D Vision Surround. Remember, with 3D, each scene needs to be rendered twice to create the perception of depth. So for 3D Vision Surround with three monitors, each scene needs to be rendered six times. You'll also need three 3D-ready 120Hz monitors, so it would be fair to say that such a setup is going to cost a fair bit.

One is in need of a 3D compatible video display unit so as to use the Nvidia 3D vision gaming utility. It may have an impact on the expenditure that you have to make while you are purchasing all the required items. Samsung Synchmaster that we used is a study VDU that can be even used as a plain and ordinary computer monitor.

We satisfied our desire of playing with few virtual zombies that made us terrified by means of the 3D technology. The game that we played Left 4 Dead was a great pick to get the Nvidia gaming activity going! When you feel this experience you would get to know that all of a sudden your monitor is not the mere idle VDU box that it is! It suddenly gets life and hits you hard with the bulgy and captivating visual appeal.

Samsung Galaxy S1

In our opinion, the Galaxy S is the best Android phone to date. The HTC Desire and Motorola XT720 come close, but the Galaxy S rules. The Samsung smart-phone's 4-inch AM0LED display is bright and ideal for multimedia use. Though the phone appears to be awkwardly huge at first glance, it is really very sleek and easily slides into the pocket. Topped with Augmented Reality browser, A-GPS, Android Marketplace and Samsung App World, the Galaxy S gets its power from a 1 GHz processor. Samsung has given the phone a customised homescreen.

Motorola Backflip Android

All Android phones available in the market look the same. Most of them are touch-driven devices with a few also sporting a slide-out keypad. But here comes an innovative and interesting phone from Motorola's stable— the BackFlip .
Living up to its name, the Backflip has the touch display on the top and the QWERTY keypad at the bottom. This is what differentiates it from the regular flips in which the main display and keyboard are hidden inside. Right opposite the display is the 'Backtrack'. Replicating the work of a trackpad or a joystick, it is designed to be used with the index finger that is rendered useless when one is using the QWERTY keypad. Using the 'Backtrack', one can navigate up, down, left and right. Interestingly, it can even be used for opening an application with a double tap. However, we found that accessing the 'Backtrack' along with the physical keypad wasn't as easy as we imagined. The 'search' key that is usually found below the display has been moved to the left corner of the QWERTY keypad that can be accessed only when the flip lid is open. When held like a bar, the keypad automatically gets locked, making it easy to use.

The innovation in design helped this flip device score full marks in the looks as well as innovation and utility departments. It was the ancient version of the Android operating system (v1.5) that disappointed. Still, it managed to handle emails, updates on social networking sites, web search and downloading third party application with ease.
